Countdown to December 25th with one fun and easy, 5-10 minute learning-filled activity each day.
It is time to get in that Holly Jolly spirit, my sweet friend! And what better way to get in that spirit than with a fun and simple little Christmas-themed learning activity each day?
I bring you my Christmas Advent Calendar!
Print off the pretty activity calendar and pop it on the fridge or on your child’s bedroom door. Each day, read the simple Christmas activity and complete it together. The calendar begins on December 1st and ends on December 25th (Christmas Day!).
These Christmas activities are full of learning in the areas of:
- phonological awareness,
- one to one correspondence,
- fine motor skills,
- sensory awareness,
- and more!
Examples of activities include:
- “Find something Christmas-y that starts with the sound /s/”
- “How many “la-las” are in the song, Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly?”
- “There are now 10 days left until Christmas! Make a paper chain 10 links long”
I have found with my own little ones, that a few moments of pure connection each day makes a WORLD of difference. I would suggest you really try to get the most out of this calendar. Pause for 5 minutes a day and focus on nothing but your little one and the activity you are engaging in together. When I ensure my little ones feel valued and important, I see big changes in their behaviour and overall contentment.
Along with this fun calendar, you also receive some fun colouring and activity pages! These ones are loads of fun to do together, or great for some special independent, quiet time activities.
