  • Reading: Reading development and comprehension with chapter-style stories and longer texts, focusing on summarizing, making inferences, identifying main ideas and supporting details, and expanding vocabulary through work with prefixes, suffixes, and multisyllabic words.
  • Writing: Writing continues to develop through well-structured paragraphs and multi-paragraph pieces, including friendly letters, fractured fairy tales, persuasive paragraphs and advertisements, informational texts, and comics.
  • Media Literacy: Children deepen their understanding of media by analyzing how advertisements use persuasive language, visuals, and layout to influence audiences. They explore concepts such as purpose, target audience, and persuasive techniques, and create their own advertisements to apply what they’ve learned.
  • And more! The curriculum also includes creative writing and art integration activities, such as designing comics, and incorporates graphic organizers, editing checklists, and other tools to promote strong literacy skills.

This is such a complete resource it’s almost overwhelming IN A FANTASTIC WAY!!! This curriculum is more than I could have even imagined! Its so beautiful and well thought out! We start our school year on September 1st, so i am still reading theoigh everything and setting up, but i am in love woth this curriculum!

I am completely in love! I love the daily organization, and I even moreso love how it lays out the skills being worked on each day. That part honestly sold me because it felt like everything I had been searching for on Pinterest was already laid out each week. I’m a second year homeschooling mom, first time creating a curriculum on my own. We are LOVING the family units. We are using them for our 1st, 4th, and 6th graders, and our 4 year old is tagging along. They are just so well put together: they’re engaging, fun, and long enough to gain great information but short enough to keep interest at all levels. I love the differentiation for the different grade levels of our kids, too. It’s empowering to see them recognize they all might be learning the same material, but they have different levels of understanding to go along with the knowledge.

I just wanted to let you know how much my kids are enjoying the math. We do it at what we call our circle time in the morning, and I call the math lessons the "story-activity" which has a more pleasant sound to my son than "math" (he doesn't love math!). They are enjoying it so much that we usually do at least two pages every morning. My son said tonight, "I LOVE the story-activity at circle time!" He's 6 and heading into grade two in the fall. We have worked on his math all year but it's been a challenge for me to find a way of making it feel creative, imaginative and fun. This fits the bill for us perfectly.
